Charity has two meanings on BookMooch:

  1. A registered organization to which you may give your BookMooch points
  2. A method of giving points to another user; either as a refund for a deal, or to transfer points for other reasons.

You will receive an email receipt for your charity giving.

Giving to a registered organization is an in kind donation, you are giving BookMooch points, not money or actual books.

Not all registered organizations may qualify as a charity under the tax laws of your country. There is no standard market value for a BookMooch point. Consult your tax, legal , or financial advisor.
