Really Simple Syndication Feeds

RSS feeds are used to publish frequently updated web-based content such as blog entries, news headlines, or podcasts. An RSS document, called a "feed" or "web feed," contains either a summary of content from a web site or the full text.

RSS documents are read using "RSS readers," "feed readers," or "aggregators." A user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds. BookMooch's RSS feeds are cached on a one-minute timeout, so it can take up to 60 seconds for a new book to appear after it is listed.

Most internet browsers, including Firefox, Internet Explorer 7, Safari, and Opera, offer a feed reader and there are many easy-to-use, web-based aggregators. For a list of readers, go here.

Look for the RSS symbol on BookMooch next to the member's name on his or her inventory page and wishlist pages.

In the feed links listed below, the "en" is for "English," and can be changed to view the feed in any of the six other languages BookMooch is available in: Deutsch (de), Español (es), Français (fr), Italiano (it), 日本語 (jp), and Português (pt).
